Roof coating is commonly mistaken for a sealer when in fact roof coating is only a protector. Roof coating alone will not seal your roof to a water tight condition. When trying to actually seal the roof 2 coats of asphalt emulsion can be used and then 2 coats of roof coating can be applied. This will create a seal on your roof surface and the coating will protect against weather conditions. |

There are more ways today to make repairs to your roof other than your traditional roof cement and fiberglass membrane method. Polyester fabric membrane has proven to work better and outlast other methods. Polyester fabric membrane can be used with many different methods. One method is to use the polyester fabric membrane with roof coating. By applying a coat of roof coating to the area and then embedding the polyester fabric membrane into the roof coating followed by another coat of roof coating over the top of the fabric. |

Polyester fabric roofs require the same care as any other flat/pitched roof does. You need to do routine maintenance and re-coating every "so many years" (how long depends on the products that you use). You want to stick with elastomeric sealants for fabric roofs rather than using roof cements. It is very important to stick with a routine maintenance schedule with a fabric roof because unlike other roof types the roof coating really is what keeps the roof sealed. |

Skylights come in many different types and styles these days. The most common types of skylights are self flashing skylights and curb mount skylights, these two types are the types that we will be discussing here.
